BROCKTON CASINO - REJECTED 4.28.2016
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission can issue one more casino license for the southeastern part of the state. Mass Gaming & Entertainment had proposed a $650 million casino in Brockton about 17 miles north of Taunton, however the Gaming Commission decided in April 2016 to reject their application. The 4-1 vote against the Brockton casino did not rule out approval of a future commercial casino in the region.
