Dining is available at one of the hotel's 10 restaurants and guests can grab coffee at one of the 2 coffee shops/cafs. Noodles is a pretty good restaurant. They have great Chinese food and menus in many different languages. Their portions are pretty big so I usually share family style. I would recommend sharing if I were you unless you were ordering just one thing. Overall, Noodles is a pretty good restaurant in the Pala Casino and has a lot of great food. 2020 Expansion Projects

Pala will complete a total renovation of all hotel rooms by March 2020. Plans to build a new 348-guest hotel tower are currently on-hold pending further market analysis.

2019 Expansion Projects

Future hotel projects are on hold. There were plans to add a new hotel tower with 348 guest rooms, remodel the current hotel rooms and the convert some groups four guest rooms into luxury suites with balconies. These plans were placed on hold pending further analysis of the market.

No other plans have been announced for 2019.

2018 Expansion Projects

January 26, 2019

Pala opened a new adult pool complex in May 2018. It is named Tourmaline Pools and features five pools, hot tubs, lounge, poolside bar, and fire pits. Guests must be 21 and older.

A new parking garage also opened at the same time. In May the Luis Rey Restaurant reopened with a larger space offering indoor and outdoor areas. Other upgrades included larger a dance floor and stage. Noodles was renovated with a larger kitchen and more seating. The new Marquise Bar opened. There were also upgrades in the smoke free area.

Pala completes expansion and renovation of its gaming, entertainment and dining facilities

The renovation and expansion projects at the Pala Casino Spa & Resort have been completed.

A new 10,000 square feet were added for gaming space with over 300 gaming machines located there. Plus, new roulette and blackjack tables. The new Marquise Bar and Lounge is a centerpiece for the new area.

There is a non-smoking casino area of 15,000 square feet. A new HVAC system was added. Guests can choose from over 300 video poker and slot machines, and live poker. Guests can enter the smoke free area from the entrance of the hotel.

One hundred and five seats, a take-out area, and more cooking stations were added to Noodles. Luis Rey's also was enlarged with a bar that is both indoors and out. Live entertainment takes place on Fridays and Saturdays.

The projects began in October 2017. They were completed on October 26 of this year.

Pala opens new, adults-only pool complex

The new pool complex that is only for adults opened today at Pala Casino Spa & Resort.

It cost $170 million to complete the Tourmaline Pools project. 14 cabanas are located around five pools. There are also two very large hot tub spas. Fire pits, restaurant, and poolside bar complete the facilities.

Guests have been requesting that casinos around the country bring more amenities outside of gaming.

The Pala Casino Resort & Spa has been expanding to meet the needs of guests. The hotel and spa are ranked with a Four-Diamond rating. There are several areas for concert performances. Dining options include ten restaurants. There are also multiple bars, lounges, and a wine cave.

Other plans for the resort casino is the adding of 420 more spaces for vehicles in the parking garage. Plus, another hotel tower.

On June 29 the new non-smoking gaming area will open. It will be a glass enclosed area for guests wishing to not be around smoke. The main casino floor is also being enlarged by 10,000 square feet. Also, the Marquise Bar will also be opened.

Other casino resorts in the area are also working on expansion and renovation projects. New hotel towers are being built at both the Viejas Casino & Resort and the Pechanga Resort & Casino.

The Pechanga is also building a pool complex. Named The Cove, it will cover 4 1/2 acres. There will be three pools. The main pool will have an infinity edge and swim up bar. A splash pad and two waterslides will be located at the family pool. There will also be 27 cabanas, a bar and restaurant, and five spas.

The total amount to be spent on the Pechanga pool complex is $300 million.

Allure will be a saltwater adult only pool located at the Vieja's. The pool will only be allowed to be used by guests staying at the new Willows Hotel & Spa.

The Sycuan Casino is also building a hotel. This will be the first hotel at the gaming venue. When completed there will be 12 stories and 300 guest rooms. The pool complex will be eight acres. Plans include an adult only pool, a family pool, and a lazy river. Along with a bar and gril and cabanas.

Harrah's Resort Southern California will also feature a lazy river. There will also be a main pool that is for adults only, a swim up bar, spas, and cabanas.

Casinos in southern California have spent nearly $1 billion in recent renovations and expansion.

(PRESS RELEASE) -- While Pala Casino Spa and Resort continues to put the finishing touches on what is being described as its new 'pool experience' along with its expanded hotel parking garage, both opening Saturday, 19 May, the team at Pala has planted additional expansion seeds that are already starting to bloom.

Pala's new adults-only, multi-pool experience will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy 14 luxurious cabanas, five pools, two expansive hot tubs, a new poolside bar, a new poolside restaurant and a variety of outdoor lounge spaces complete with fireplaces for evening cocktails. The new hotel parking garage will add 420 spots giving Pala 3,700 convenient parking spaces just steps away from the action. In June, Pala will unveil more exciting elements of its remodel and expansion.

Perhaps one of the most comfortable and satisfying for many guests will be the new 15,000 square-foot smoke-free casino area that will be located adjacent to the poker room. It is scheduled to open Friday, 29 June.

'As part of our casino remodel and expansion, we are paying particular attention to our many guests who prefer to enjoy the smoke-free areas within our resort. We are creating a beautifully appointed casino area which will offer over 300 slot and video poker machines, live poker, casino cashier services and several restaurants and bars. Guests will be able to enter the smoke-free casino directly through the smoke-free hotel entrance utilizing our complimentary valet service,' said Pala Chief Executive Officer Bill Bembenek.

The new smoke-free space will be enclosed with glass from floor to ceiling. Extra care is being taken to ensure that the transition from the smoke-free casino area is seamless without smoke being allowed to intrude into the new space. Pala's HVAC system will be augmented to ensure that positive air flows out from the smoke-free space into the casino area where smoking is allowed.

On 29 June, Pala will open Marquise Bar, its newest casino bar and lounge. This opulent bar will offer plush lounge space and ample seating, and will be adorned with hundreds of strands of crystals. It will be the centerpiece of a new 10,000 square-foot gaming area, which will offer over 300 new slot and video poker machines and new blackjack and roulette tables.

Also at 11 a.m., 29 June, Pala will reopen the expanded version of Luis Rey's, its popular indoor-outdoor restaurant, bar and live entertainment venue. It will offer a wide selection of appetizers, including Pala's world-famous Street Tacos, Fish Tacos and Carne Asada Nachos. Soups and salads will include The Chef Salad, Classic Caesar, Luis Rey's Chopped and the chef's daily soup selection.

There will be a wide selection of burgers, including the Signature Luis Rey's Kobe Burger and sandwiches will include the Piled High Corn Beef, Pork Schnitzel, Beef & Cheddar, Philly Cheese Steak, Hot Pastrami, Classic Deli Club, the All-American and the Luis Rey's BLAT.

The specialty drink menu will feature a Classic Mojito, Paradise Punch, Chocolate Martini, selections of Margaritas (Classic, Strawberry, Mango, Skinny), Moscow Mule (Classic or Raspberry) and Michelada. Beer selections will include 16 draft beer options in addition to a wide variety of Domestic, Imported and Craft options. Wine by the glass will include Pala's Signature CAVE Red Blend, CAVE Pala Blend and CAVE Grenache in addition to a wide variety of select wines. The bar also will offer a large selection of Tequilas.

Happy Hour at Luis Rey's will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily and prices will include Street Tacos (Chicken or Steak), $1; and Moscow Mules, Margaritas and Draft Beer, $3.75 each.

Luis Rey's will offer live entertainment from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday.

Also on Saturday, 19 May, as part of the swimming pool experience and garage openings, 39 winners will earn a share of $70,000 in the 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dive Into Cash promotion drawing. Players have been earning drawing entries since January 1 by swiping their Privileges cards once daily at the Dive Into Cash kiosk in the casino and by playing slots, table games or live poker. The top prize, awarded at 7 p.m., will be $20,000.

Pala oppose nearby housing project proposal

Planners for North County and the Board of Supervisors are scheduled to make a decision on a proposed housing development that would be located across from Pala Casino Resort & Spa off of state Route 76. The project would create 780 new homes for the area. The approval could come sometime this summer.

There are several proposed housing plans that the officials will need to decide on. This is just one of them.

The Warner Ranch proposal plan has been in development for nearly 13 years. The plan would be to attract the thousands of people that drive long distances to go to their jobs at the North County casinos. The project would supply housing that would be closer to their jobs and cut down on their commute time to get there. The thought is also that it could help eliminate some of the traffic on the congested 15 freeway.

It would also be built on 513 acres of private land next to the reservation and just to the west of the Pala casino. Houses would be developed on 130 acres. Open space would be reserved for the rest of the land. Some of the houses would be built directly across the street from the casino.

A study that was previously conducted showed that 2,200 people drive at least 45 minutes from their homes to their jobs at the casinos every day. These people are commuting from Riverside County and other locations.

The plan is opposed by the Pala Band of Mission Indians. As well as environmental groups.

The area where they project is to be developed is in a rural area of the county. The general plan for the area would need to be amended and construction to widen Highway 76 would also need to happen.

Any proposed housing project in the county must meet certain requirements. One of those requirements is the location to stores and recreation.

The reservation where the Pala is located is considered a sovereign nation. The tribe does not wish to grant outsiders access to their land that cannot be reached from public roads. They insist that the proposed location to their land and their casino should not meet the county's requirements.

The tribe also believes that the average casino employee would not make enough in wages to qualify for the housing being built for them. Another reason the Pala are against the project is the increase in the amount of traffic.

Currently the proposed location is zoned as agricultural.

Pala Casino opens Bar Meets Grill

The new Bar Meets Grill has opened at the Pala Casino Spa & Resort. The dining venue originally was known as CAVE before undergoing a rebranding.

Bar Meets Grill offers both lunch and dinner. The menu is advertised as California casual.

The casino resort has been undergoing an $170 million expansion. The restaurant is part of that project. Renovations will also be occurring at the other restaurants as well.

Bar Meets Grill offers burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pizza for lunch. Lunch is served from 11 AM to 5 PM. Lobster Oscar, Chicken Milanese, and house made pasta dishes will be served during dinner. Dinner is offered from 5 PM to 1 AM. Happy hour in the lounge will be from 3 PM to 7 PM.

On the weekends guests can still visit the underground wine cave. There is a wine list with 480 labels. Music and live comedy will be preforming.

Later this year Luis Rey's will reopen. It has been enlarged to accommodate more guests. Susi Sake and Noodles will also undergo renovations.
